With the dropped kerb on the right, the cycle track connecting North Woodside Road to Hopehill Road/Maryhill Road junction is blocked by the hire bike. Weaving around the hire bike thus becomes necessary, when having the dropped kerb in the middle would have avoided this.

But the Connecting Woodside project will (eventually) reconfigure this area. (See also #113074.)
