The whole section of Cumbernauld road from the junction with Edinburgh road until it becomes Alexandra parade needs a cycleway to allow better bike access to and from Alexandra park, the Royal infirmary, city centre and residential areas. The road surface in the bus lanes is very poor and dangerous for cycling.
