Segregated cylecway on the Switchback Road between The Garscube Estate and Old Crow Road. There is nearly a safe-feeling north-south route for walking and cycling between Anniesland High St, Anniesland station, Morrisons etc to the south, and southern Bearsden and the Garscube Estate (which is an employment centre) to the north. However there is an unsafe and unpleasant piece in the middle for both walkers and cyclists of the A739. The footpath although wide is cambered towards the road, has a poor surface and traffic regularly speeds faster than the 30mph limit (more often than not going 40mph on the 30mph stretch and 50mph on the 40mph stretch). Cycling on this road or footpath does not feel safe. Neither does walking. This is a key missing link and an opportunity to reduce car use down the Switchback corridor to Anniesland cross.
