[Image taken: 16.9.21 ] Paxton Road, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland. A sign I'd like to see more often: in areas that mean it. This is on NCN1, the Coast and Castles route www.cyclenorthumberland.org.uk/listing/the-coast--castles-cycle-route-ncn-route-1. By chance the next day the caption writer (spoke to two cyclists taking a weekend break in York who had spent the previous week riding in Northumberland. They particularly recommended the Coast and Castles route: for ease of following and for the name that gave it character and made it sound attractive. Other images today: #174286 and links.
