An attempt has been made to beautify the entrance to the Kelvin Walkway at Kelvindale Road, but this has been spoilt not just by the barriers, but by signs pointing to "National Cycle Network Route 7". It is NCN756 as can be see on the sticker on the lamppost, while route 7 is in the opposite direction!
The writing on the direction signs is so tiny anyone approaching along Kelvindale Road on a bike would have to stop to read it! They also contain no reference to the NCN route numbers.
