Building works at Partick Bus Station have meant that the point where cyclists join Merkland St carriageway has now been closed, and cyclists are forced to share a narrow footway already obstructed by (unrelated) scaffolding.
However, there is a set of gates in the railing (next to the SPT person) and these could be left open to rectify the issue. I suggested this to the SPT person who said he would raise it with his superiors. It would also help stranded pedestrians, such as the one seen on the carriageway here, join the footway.
