Obstructive parking in Craigton Road, next to a partially empty ASDA car park.

Broken path surface and broken glass on the climb up from Drumoyne Road to the Craigton Road underpass.

No dropped kerb at the start of the path from Drumoyne Road to the Craigton Road underpass.

The transition from path to street is not exactly award-winning.

Although narrow at each end (see #98928 and #98993), the middle section of the path between Meiklewood Road and Drumoyne Road is reasonably wide. But it could do with being a bit smoother.

The cycle path towards the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital starts at the Meiklewood Road roundabout. It is also a dead end for pedestrians so surely this first section of path should be signed for cycles only.

To get to the Meiklewood Road cycle lanes (see #98922), you need to go around the roundabout.

I don't suppose it matters that this van is parked in the Meiklewood Road cycle lane, since the cycle route turns right at the end of the road.

Junction potholes in the Meiklewood Road cycle lane.

The parking layby is again too narrow for ordinary cars to be reliably parked within, so eroding the buffer zone that is meant to contain door openings.

Cycle lane or not?

The painted cycle lane on Meiklewood Road goes around the bend, then vanishes for a bit.

The cycle lane on Meiklewood Road starts to move out from the kerb.

The cycle route is also a recommended route for lorry driving!

Cycle parking at the bowling green pavilion. The new cycle route from Jura Street will be coming through here. A path behind the camera provides a useful route through a car park to the nearby sports centre.

I'm guessing that as part of the proposed cycle route along Jura Street, this entrance to Bellahouston Park will be rebuilt to include a wider gate and better path around the back of the bowling green pavilion.

The proposed cycleway for Jura Street will be on the left side, and end at a toucan crossing across Paisley Road West to Bellahouston Park. So this door-zone cycle lane will be removed.

Hopefully the new cycle route proposed for Jura Street will fix the problem of the missing dropped kerb at the ramp up to the M8 motorway underpass.

Jura Street where a new cycle route is proposed linking the M8 motorway underpass to Bellahouston Park.

A new approach path to the M8 motorway underpass at the end of Craigton Road, arranged to dissuade obstructive parking, although this doesn't always work (see #102730).
