This type of infra is excellent but will be wasted money unless protective measures are included too. @GlasgowCC @collin_little @GoBikeGlasgow https://t.co/QRSaqPbHhQ

Look, I know it's shit infrastructure, just a bit of paint, but there's multistorey and surface car parking within a couple of hundred metres. I have to cycle against the flow of motorised traffic because you're a selfish twat. Thanks. ... [more]

They're still at it @AnnaLangside @GoBikeGlasgow @GlasgowCC Really think the segregation needs to be more substantial https://t.co/08xkctm49Z

How am I supposed safely cycle up this street if cars are parked in the contraflow cycle lane, forcing me into on coming traffic? @GlasgowCC @AnnaLangside https://t.co/jcbx6GVDyv

Obstructive parking in Craigton Road, next to a partially empty ASDA car park.

If it's not for cars then it's alright to park across. Still no surfaced connection to NCN7.

The usual obstructive parking encroaching the door-zone cycle lane and pavement parking in Alderman Road. Maybe it's time for the Alderman Road scheme to be ripped up and a cycleway built next to the footway and car parking placed next to t ... [more]

The new cycle lane in Archerhill Road needs swept, and a motorist has decided to park in the gap between orcas at the BMX centre entrance.

The narrow cycle lane on Kelso Street bridge with footway car parking. No waiting restrictions so the assumption must be that the council approves of this.

A cycle lane designed for car parking. Let's not pretend this is designed for cycling.

Car parking in the under construction cycle track in Archerhill Road, opposite the, erm, car parking layby.

Car parking on the under construction cycle track in Archerhill Road.

The entrance to the path at Bredisholm Road is being used as a parking space.

Why people cycling don’t use the provided infrastructure #7639. Approached a taxi driver blocking this same section earlier. Pointed out the solid white. He shrugged. ‘I’m dropping someone off’. Glasgow. https://t.co/j4xUZ4yLuT

When I turned into Holmfauld Place from Govan Road I noticed a white line on the footway. On investigation, it turns out the only way onto this shared cycleway is via the dropped kerb next to the black car.

This is what a painted bike lane means @PeopleByresRoad @GlasgowCC @glendalegaelic @walkcyclevote St Andrew's Drive https://t.co/xSJ0xYx8OH

What's that rule about not parking within so many metres of a junction? A car parked blocking entrance to the cycle track, so that it becomes easier to go around the other side of the traffic island to get to Lorne Street.

No access to the cycle track from the side road. Not unique.

Well, it's partly clear.

I'm not sure this is the intended use for an area marked 'Keep Clear'.

Footway parking along Nithsdale Road on the climb up from Dumbreck station.

"Welcome to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital" if arriving on foot or by bike.

The northern footway of Govan Road, between Harvie Street and Pacific Drive, has been rebuilt as shared use, including a marked buffer zone between it and the carriageway. However, the dropped kerb for anyone exiting Festival Park now has a ... [more]

When this area at Partick station was repaved, I thought it might be getting prepared for the installation of the large double decker bike racks, given the congestion on the existing cycle parking. But no, it has been getting used for car p ... [more]

What is the point of advisory cycle lanes? Cumbernauld Rd today, both sides covered in parked cars @AnnaLangside @GlasgowCC @policescotland https://t.co/ze1547or7Z

The new administration at Glasgow City Council wasted no time in "standardising" (downgrading) all 24-hour bus lanes in Glasgow to operate only 7am-7pm, but this peak-hour bus lane remains peak-hours only. Enforcement is unchanged.

Footway car parking outside new student accommodation, including reversing across the shared-use footway/cycleway. There is plenty available on-road car parking, and a cheap all-day car park next door (behind the trees).

It must be the weather that puts people off cycling in Glasgow, or the hills...

A cycle bypass has been built for the junction, but left vulnerable to blockage by car parking. Again, no signage.

A car blocking the dropped kerb at the top of the ramp from Hillpark Drive. The path itself is not particularly smooth.

A car parked over a dropped kerb that forms part of the Silverburn to Pollokshaws & Newlands cycle route.

Plenty of car parking infrastructure in Yorkhill, but proper bike parking is hard to find. However, contraflow cycling is allowed on the one-way streets.

The cycle lane shifts from the kerbside to the door-zone.

The narrow door-zone cycle lane swerves into the back of some parked cars. On the other side of the road, there's a car parked partly in the cycle lane, partly on the footway.

The Broomhouse cycle lane goes over a flattened build-out, then becomes a painted door-zone cycle lane.

A woman almost hit by car at this zebra this morning. Driver's view obstructed by vehicles parked on zigzag in middle of road @Glasgowcc >> https://t.co/83ZilN4JZZ

Cars being parked on the Kelvin Walkway and West City Way, because someone has removed some of the bollards that mark the limit of the car park.

Getting from Sandy Road to NCN7 on Beith Street involves negotiating a maze of parked cars and kerbs.

Contraflow cycling on the road to Yorkhill Hospital. Not much room for passing other than vacant car parking spaces, but downhill for an easy restart.

Since my last visit, two dropped kerbs have been installed, but one of them is completely blocked by a parked car.

A motorist that doesn't understand how the footway works. A bus stop bypass with zebra crossing.

Cars parked blocking a dropped kerb, leaving only just enough room for a standard bike to squeeze through.

A car parked on NCN75.

@ErnieMarples @magnatom @FMcAveety Presumably this "cycle lane" on Govan Rd is also included in km total #pointless https://t.co/ZbbBvLyXlq

I rode impeccably all morning then met this. What did I do wrong Wiggo? @veloevol @AsEasyAsRiding @OfficialWIGGINS https://t.co/Dts9T60vRv

A new contraflow cycle lane on Cardonald Place Road ahead, but no exemption for cycles from the mandatory turn into Cardonald Gardens. In the distance, cars parked in the contraflow lane, just like in #71119.

Car parking obstructing NCN75/NCN756 on the Clyde Walkway at the Broomielaw.

"We don't anticipate any problems" with illegal parking on the cycleway, @GlasgowCC said. Aww, isn't that sweet. http://t.co/TZKSAF4cLe

The door-zone cycle lane in Albert Drive reverts to the kerbside.

The westbound cycle lane in Albert Drive is also in the door-zone.

The Albert Drive cycle lane reverts to the kerbside.

The Albert Drive cycle lane moves from kerbside to the door-zone.

The start of the Albert Drive cycle lane. Designed to be parked in.

Hopefully the yellow paint marks indicate that bollards are to be installed and the 'No Entry' signs taken down. The tactiles could be corrected and the electrical cabinet moved at the same time.

The cycleway and footway are vulnerable to rogue car parking in this area. The width of the junction opening doesn't help with this. But are those yellow painted markings indicating a rethink on the kerbs? UPDATE: #71206 shows new kerb a ... [more]

The segregated cycle track ends for a brief section of shared-use either side of the Carnoustie Place toucan crossing. But there are also parked cars on this shared footway.

Car parking in the Gourock Street contraflow cycle lane and on the footway.

It's been bad with people parking on double yellows in cycle lane, but this ridiculous. Right on pelican crossing. http://t.co/UbLSCBn9bT

The St Enoch Square bike hire terminal, next to the Howard Street contraflow lane, which still has a car parking problem.

It didn't take the motorists long to start parking on the widened shared-use footway on Lancefield Quay

A car and a van parked on double yellow lines, the shared-use footway, and blocking the dropped kerb where cyclists are expected to join the roadway. But there isn't any enforcement around here.

Car parked blocking cycle track at St Andrew's Square

A car parked on shared-use footway, blocking access to cycle path. There's a free car park about 30 seconds' drive away to the right.

Driver of SD59 VXE obstructing Waterloo Street segregated bike lane. Think this is acceptable parking @GlasgowCC ? http://t.co/HivCEliJ7f

Car parking at point where shared-use footway cycleway crosses over Old Dumbarton Road. Google Streetview shows Double Yellow Lines on the roadway here before resurfacing.

Car parked on double yellow lines, partly blocking dropped kerb, and lots of leaves lying on footway where cyclists will need to make a tight turn going to and from the Anderston "Bridge To Everywhere" approach ramp.

Car parked blocking dropped kerb to toucan crossing at end of West Princes Street. No double yellows to act as a deterrent either.

Traffic-calming by chicane. Cars parked everywhere.

Stupidly awkward chicane around railing in Doune Quadrant/Doune Gardens, made even worse by car parking. Needs railing removed and proper "Cycles Only" signage.
