A temporary closure of NCN75 Clyde Walkway starts tomorrow, for 7 months, as far as the Smart Bridge. Yet again, the steep ramp at the Rutherglen Bridge access point here (see #98398 and #71262), will be showing how useful replacing it … [more]

People make Glasgow difficult to cycle around. Another closure of McPhater Street on the Colleges Cycle Route. The parallel main road behind is not closed.
Roadworks closing the shared footway alongside Bunhouse Road. Pedestrians are diverted through the car park, no mention of cycling. I went onto the road, but this is not possible in the opposite direction since it is one-way.
The Southwest City Way cycleway closed by roadworks on Scotland Street. It wasn't clear what cyclists were supposed to do.
Fountainwell Road is presently closed in Sighthill, so St Rollox Drive is temporarily not a through road. The road on the right has been opened, and is presently the sole road access to the residential area of Sighthill.

Unfortunate that part of the Clyde Walkway is still closed after fire last year. Mind you, it was narrowest bit (between Kingston bridge and Squinty bridge). At least the road is quieter now and easier for distancing. Still not sure what … [more]
The entrance to Richmond Park now doubles as the construction site entrance. NCN756 is unuseable since there is no way through to the riverside other than the steps next to Rutherglen Bridge (see #95375).
Looking through the compound gate, a new road has been built through what was Richmond Park. I don't suppose that row of trees on the right is staying much longer.
The route through Richmond Park has been shut due to the council selling much of the park to a housing developer. No diversion signed.
Protected signs on path closed for Sighthill's redevelopment (the original Glasgow-Cumbernauld cycle route), and a reopened path to Baird Street.
I don't know which closure this sign relates to. The next closure in this direction appears to be at Richmond Park.

The path beyond the fence in #95371 has already been built, but isn't being maintained since it is within a construction site.
The path into Richmond Park doesn't actually connect to the main part of the path at the moment due to further house building.
The replacement path under the new A8(M) bridge does not look like being a priority for Transport Scotland. The only path under Scotland's shortest motorway!
Temporary closure of Kelvin Walkway due to cracking appearing on section of path high above the riverbank. The diversion is via Garrioch Road.
This signposted route has been closed. Behind the barrier is a great rubble pile from a demolished tower block, so evidently the route has been and will be closed for some time. No alternative route is posted, but you can get to the … [more]

Road closure at Alexandra Park Street opposite Coventry Drive. Reopening this and other closures to cycles could help cyclists going between Royal Infirmary and Alexandra Park (see also #33361 & #33362).
Ashfield Street road closure. There used to be Fire Path signs here, but there isn't much of an obstruction left now. UPDATE: As of April 2014 this road closure has been removed and there is now a standard cross roads at this location.
Fire Path in Hamiltonhill, with no cycle track. Cycling through this is illegal, and so is driving or parking a car!
