Temporary cycle parking on the grass verge at the Riverside Museum while the regular cycle parking is out of bounds due to construction work.

No path connection between the road crossing and the entrance to Hogganfield Park. Have to bump kerb and cross grass. This is a signed walking and cycling route, the Seven Lochs Trail.

No progress on building a proper path here. This is shown as a cycleway in Glasgow City Council's GIS system.

No attempt has been made by the housing developer to integrate the existing paths into the new road layout, let alone upgrade them. The path on the left connects Daldowie Road with Caledonia Road at the bus terminus.

The footway on the north side of Castlebank Street resumes, but is fenced off just west of the toucan crossing (as seen in #173896). That doesn't stop people using it, and a worn desire line is visible in the grass verge too. NCN7 crosses … [more]

The northern footway on South Street comes to another break, and again there is a desire line worn in the grass. NCN7 is on the opposite shared footway. Meanwhile, a line of car showroom flags marks the course of the demolished former … [more]

South Street, with worn desire line in the grass verge where there is a missing footway, a speed camera that has been out of use for a long time, a traffic counter, and NCN7 on the footway across the road.

The footway on this side of South Street resumes, with the worn desire line continuous from #173806. The NCN7 cycle route on the opposite footway is not good enough to attract these two to use it.

The toucan crossing is used to follow the cycle route which continues on the footway of the other side of South Street, but there is a clear desire line for staying on this side. There is a short break before the footway resumes at Ferryden … [more]

The Drumchapel Way path surface is poor.

The path does not have a proper built surface.

Toucan crossing across Mosspark Boulevard to reach the Dumbreck Road shared footway route across the railway and motorway bridge, heading towards Pollok Country Park. If coming from the west, the grass separates the shared path from the … [more]

The path alongside Bellahouston Park and Mosspark Boulevard leads directly to the toucan crossing across Dumbreck Road to Fleurs Avenue, but there is no link across the grass to the new toucan crossing across Mosspark Boulevard to join the … [more]

A dropped kerb for cycling from Cavendish Street towards the South City Way, but now it is aligned with a large patch of grass, so requires awkward turns to get around.

Vegetation encroaching onto path near Gower Street, and evidence of people going across the grass instead.

Evidence of a desire line through the park from Kelvinhaugh Street to Corunna Street, avoiding Argyle Street. From Corunna Street there is a de facto quietway to the city centre via the Skypark path.

I don't know why the path doesn't continue behind the wall. The cobbles are not everyone's cup of tea.

A new ramp is to be constructed here, linking the Forth & Clyde Canal towpath, together with the new bridge to the Claypits nature reserve, to Garscube Road.

Unsurprisingly, people want to go to the crossing. More tyre tracks in Househill Park.

A worn path in the grass approaching one of the few formal paths in Househill Park

Tyre tracks ahead in Househill Park.

Tyre tracks (not mine) in the grass in Househill Park. This park could do with a few more formalised paths.

As I've mentioned before (see #107159), this is listed in Glasgow City Council's database of cycle routes.

On the left, the Garscadden Way, leading to the Drumchapel Way, and on the right, the path through to Annan Drive. Both could do with some proper path building works.

The new cycleway along St Rollox Drive leads onto this footway which has not been upgraded. It is obstructed ahead by utilities work and the only way onto the road is across the grass. There's also a 'No Cycling' sign on the back of the … [more]

A fairly new cycle link on Hopehill Road, including some new green space created by shortening the former carriageway on this side of the closure.

A poor quality surface at the start of the Cleddans Burn path, part of the Garscadden Way cycle route and Drumchapel Way walking route. The footway on the Goals access road swaps from the north to the south side at this point.

The Drumchapel Way turns left to join with the Garscadden Way. The Drumchapel Way is a walking route around Drumchapel and the surrounding woodland described at https://forestryandland.gov.scot/images/pdf/rec_pdfs/DrumchapelWoodsLeaflet.pdf

The winter has taken its toll on the Garscadden Way. This is listed as an official cycle route in the council's GIS system at https://glasgowgis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=0a599fa51e3d4460a615653700769bf7

The path across to the Garscadden Way blocked by fallen branches, but will anyone notice there's a path to be blocked?

The road does not extend as far as the flats in Lauderdale Gardens, making room for some grass and trees. But no dropped kerbs at either end of the path to assist with cycling through the area.

The Govan Road shared-use footway crosses sides here, although there is only the presence of a toucan crossing as a clue. As always, the asphalt does not provide a direct route to the crossing, and as the wear on the grass shows people are … [more]

There appears to be some demand for a ramp to bypass the steps up to Dalmarnock Road.

Desire line from NCN7 path up to main road.

Desire line to Riverside Museum

The people of Pollok have made their own desire lines clear, and they don't match the official paths.

One of two people on bikes I saw using this section of the Garscadden Way.

The Garscadden Way almost indiscernible approaching the Drumchapel Road crossing. Only the old access barrier gives a clue to it once being a Strathclyde Regional Council cycle route.

The Drumchapel Way and Garscadden Way meet and head onwards between the trees. The Drumchapel Way comes along the path from Kinfauns Drive and turns, while the path continues on to Annan Drive. The Garscadden Way comes across the grass from … [more]

A clear desire line for a ramp to the Clyde Walkway where there is only steps on this side of Dalmarnock Road.

@carsickglasgow @GlasgowCC #desirelines south of Bell's Bridge - lights in wrong place #fastlinkmess http://t.co/YL8GhpktYv

A new path has been laid between Bells' Bridge and Pacific Drive. A toucan crossing has been provided across Pacific Drive and the adjacent Fastlink busway. They don't meet up and force users to make a zigzag or cut across the grass.
