Finishing work still required at the southern end of the Garscube Road protected cycle lane. It will connecting into the underpass and other existing cycle infrastructure through Cowcaddens.
Corduroy tactiles were specified in the drawings and corduroy tactiles were duly installed, rather than cycleway tactiles.
The surface on the cycleway is the same shiny smooth asphalt used on the footway. Not good for grip.
Dropped kerbs have been installed at the access to the Village development (rectifying #71113), but that footway next to the stepped cycleway is so narrow!

If you are going straight on from George V Bridge, the new stepped cycle lane is no use (see #82971), so must continue to use the carriageway, in lane 3. But there's a 20mph sign, so that makes it all right!
