This fencing has been obstructing the access to the Sighthill motorway foot and cycle bridge for some time, even though the bridge is for now still open. The fencing appears to be being used to create nothing more than a contractor's parkin ... [more]

After the smooth new path from the Springburn Expressway footbridge is this mess!

The path suddenly gets wider!

Reinstated access (possibly temporary) between the Springburn Expressway footbridge and Pinkston Drive, during the Sighthill redevelopment. Old and new buildings can be seen to the left.

Protected signs on path closed for Sighthill's redevelopment (the original Glasgow-Cumbernauld cycle route), and a reopened path to Baird Street.

The barriers on the Springburn Expressway footbridge remain in place. Sighthill seen during redevelopment, with some old and new buildings visible, and off to the right, reinstated access from the footbridge to Pinkston Drive.

Temporary signage for a long-term access restriction during Sighthill redevelopment.

The path across to Pinkston Road has now been closed for construction work.

The Sighthill diversion is via a flight of steps!

I'm not sure the risk assessment for the Sighthill diversion route has been completed correctly.

The Sighthill diversion route is obstructed by an undropped kerb.

Diversion sign for Sighthill path closure.

The path south from Pinkston Road will be closed until the end of 2018.

The path south from Pinkston Road has now closed.

Despite the emphasis on 'footpath' and 'pedestrians' on the signs, the only other person I saw on this path was also on a bike. Could do with a dropped kerb here.

The path southwards from Pinkston Road is still open during the Sighthill redevelopment.

A path that is still open during the Sighthill redevelopment, alongside Port Dundas Basin.

Dismantled cycleway in Sighthill redevelopment. This will be replaced by a zig-zag path and stairs straight up the hillside.

Routes through what was Sighthill Park closed due to redevelopment, and the bridge over the motorway is getting replaced at some point too. More information at www.glasgow.gov.uk/sighthill

Since the cycle route is closed for the next 3 years while Sighthill is redeveloped, it might be an idea to take down or cover up this sign. The park is no more, so take those signs away at the same time.

Some Sighthill diversion signs that are still in place, and some illegal parking outside the Police Station.

A diversion sign for pedestrians and cyclists (like #87688) lying on the ground, and a motoring diversion sign fixed securely to a pole.

Diversion sign for pedestrians and cyclists while Sighthill is being rebuilt. This sign is meant to last for 3 years, but it's only been a few months so far!

Diversion signs for drivers, one of which is fixed to a permanent pole.

New toucan crossing, not presently on any permanent cycle route, just a long term diversion. Plus some sandbags that once held a diversion signs in place, both in the foreground and in the background across the crossing.
