"Footpath Closed" - the footway wasn't closed, it was the cycleway.

The area around the old boat has been tidied up and new paths laid.

Cycle parking stands at the Sighthill Community Campus.

Sighthill regeneration continues. From the width of this path, and the toucan crossings at the junction, it appears it may be a shared-use path in place of the Glasgow to Cumbernauld cycle route path that used to be here.

Fountainwell Road is presently closed in Sighthill, so St Rollox Drive is temporarily not a through road. The road on the right has been opened, and is presently the sole road access to the residential area of Sighthill.

No turns between the new St Rollox Drive and Keppochhill Drive. There is also no connection from the cycleway to Keppochhill Drive industrial estate. Must U-turn at the Keppochhill Road junction crossing.

The new road layout at the junction of Fountainwell Road and St Rollox Drive does not include a connection to the new cycleway. The speed of some of the traffic on the new road seemed quite high.

The path suddenly gets wider!

Reinstated access (possibly temporary) between the Springburn Expressway footbridge and Pinkston Drive, during the Sighthill redevelopment. Old and new buildings can be seen to the left. UPDATE 2020: The path is now shut - see #112923.

Despite the emphasis on 'footpath' and 'pedestrians' on the signs, the only other person I saw on this path was also on a bike. Could do with a dropped kerb here.

Since the cycle route is closed for the next 3 years while Sighthill is redeveloped, it might be an idea to take down or cover up this sign. The park is no more, so take those signs away at the same time.
