Excellent signage at the Scottish Water work on the Kelvin Walkway Garriochmill Road access, where a short path has been laid to divert around the worksite.
Excellent signage at the Scottish Water work on the Garriochmill Road access to the Kelvin Walkway. A short path has been laid around the back of the work compound to maintain pedestrian and cycle access.
A fairly new cycle link on Hopehill Road, including some new green space created by shortening the former carriageway on this side of the closure.
Hooray, the filtered access on Scotland St West at Lambhill St, G41, has been installed! Thank you @GlasgowCC 👏👏👏
The Balmoral Street off-ramp from the Loch Lomond railway path. The first time I've seen a postal district on a cycle route sign.
Great to see loads of people (myself included!) getting home after @TRNSMTfest with a @nextbikeUK . https://t.co/n9EPzCxi7e
Cycle parking outside the sports centre in Yoker. It would be better with dropped kerbs to allow cycling through the road closure.
People are already (unofficially) using the southbound cycleway, before merging back into the roadway. #SouthCityWay https://t.co/K9QjAyXTDz
The Bredisholm Road connection to the housing estate is build to a high quality, and is lit, although the path alongside the motorway is only lit by spill from the motorway lighting.
The new double decker cycle parking at Partick station now starting to become quite popular, after all the disruption due to the bus station rebuilding project.
There are intercom panels next to the former stairwells in the Clyde Tunnel, in addition to those at the entrances and exits.
A riverside walkway in Govan, with the Riverside Museum across the other side. In summer a free ferry operates across the river.
A new arrangement of bike stowage on a type of train that didn't previously have any designated bike space.
New double decker cycle parking at Partick Interchange. Work is still ongoing rebuilding the bus station.
Now that the excellent new ramp next to Victoria Bridge has been built, the gates that so often blocked the former route of NCN75 (see #31366) seem to be left open much of the time.
Good filtered permeability in parts of the new Richmond Gate housing development, but wouldn't it have been better to provide a raised crossing (as at nearby #95369) for this path between the park and the houses?
A new approach path to the M8 motorway underpass at the end of Craigton Road, arranged to dissuade obstructive parking, although this doesn't always work (see #102730).
Reinstated access (possibly temporary) between the Springburn Expressway footbridge and Pinkston Drive, during the Sighthill redevelopment. Old and new buildings can be seen to the left.
Protected signs on path closed for Sighthill's redevelopment (the original Glasgow-Cumbernauld cycle route), and a reopened path to Baird Street.
Fabulous to see the progress with Glasgow's South City Way on my commute. Well rolled surface, low chamfered kerb = good pedal clearance to maximise width, generous angles and, of course, it will be uni-directional. #stepchange in street de ... [more]

A dropped kerb in the diagonal road closure on Reidvale Street and Sword Street. Not signed for cycling, but unlikely to cause a problem. Interestingly, the dropped kerb on the far side appears to be newer than on this side.
Plenty of tyre tracks in the frost, and the lamppost (previously in the middle of the path as seen in #86772) has been relocated to the edge.
New paths at the Clay Pit local nature reserve. The surface is gravel so not so good for cycling, but was frozen solid with frost when I visited.
FAO @Darkerside @GoBikeGlasgow @isersmalone New Balvicar St cycle gate. https://t.co/hsgCQah4xm [A site where car parking regularly blocked the cycle track entrance before e.g. #93805.]

Clyde Pl cycle lane - possibly highest quality one in Glasgow? #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/AI4UvoOXeA
I do like segregated paths where they occur. This one at Tradeston is a bit wiggly but still better than traffic. #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/cKgtvFcSpv
Not perfect but I like it a lot. If only it joined up with lots more. #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 #hometime https://t.co/sqDFA406q0
This bit on London Rd is good, tho traffic lights are oddly synched. If you follow route to Saltmarket, it vanishes. #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/MG2uePiEU2
Shared cycle/walking path from Transport Museum is generally good to use, even with puddles! #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/sCKhbmu0Qq
Fern Lane is well surfaced (for a back lane) and has a single bollard to prevent through motor traffic, making it a useful alternative to the busy Crow Road..
Nice job! Makes cycling along the Clyde so much nicer @GlasgowCC @SustransScot #NCN75 https://t.co/pSQNMVmIkn
Bikepods in Partick. More information at http://www.scottishhousingnews.com/10489/cycle-pods-land-in-partick-to-encourage-healthy-commutes/
No break in the cycle lane for this minor side road. I'm not sure that this 'Road Narrows' sign is still needed, since the rest of the road has been narrowed to match the section ahead, and in what is now a 30mph zone having two seems pa ... [more]

Newly installed dropped kerbs for cycling through to Galloway St, although this couple headed for the footway to avoid the reversing car in the turning head.
New straight and lit cyclepath replacing steps outside the Sheriff Court. The old path next to the river has been retained for pedestrians.
It's cold, so jeans and hoodie for cycling journey. The fixings for the bollard nearest the camera appear to be loose.
