Cycle access at Maryland Drive maintained during roadworks.

The new cycleway along St Rollox Drive leads onto this footway which has not been upgraded. It is obstructed ahead by utilities work and the only way onto the road is across the grass. There's also a 'No Cycling' sign on the back of the ... [more]

The end of the Burleigh Street contraflow cycle track currently under construction. The route to Water Row is via Pearce Street.

Roadworks in Burleigh Street to create a contraflow cycle track and repave the footways.

Excellent signage at the Scottish Water work on the Kelvin Walkway Garriochmill Road access, where a short path has been laid to divert around the worksite.

Excellent signage at the Scottish Water work on the Garriochmill Road access to the Kelvin Walkway. A short path has been laid around the back of the work compound to maintain pedestrian and cycle access.

I'm not sure what the barriers here are meant to achieve, or why they are blocking the flagship cycleway on Waterloo Street.

Exciting to spot Sauchiehall Street's new 'avenue' taking shape in Glasgow. πŸ‘€ πŸŽ‰ πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸš²πŸŒ³πŸšŒπŸš™ πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Just couldn't help noticing the state of what appears to be the final cycle surface, in contrast to the ne ... [more]

Cycling home with Flora along Pollokshaws Road. Traffic management for the shared path resurfacing better cycle provision than path itself! Buy hey, 6 lanes for motors obviously essential https://t.co/Whhbubr5SC

Aaaand once again @GlasgowCC have allowed the shared path from Pollokshaws to Silverburn beside Barrhead Road to be blocked by works. @PersimmonHomes do you realise this route is for cyclists too and that many bikes are a lot wider than tha ... [more]

The Partick Bus Station rebuild continues, but at least there will be a direct route onto the carriageway at Merkland Street once it's finished. The stone bases for the bus shelters were apparently imported all the way from Portugal! ... [more]

Roadworks blocking most of the shared footway on Smith Street, but no dropped kerb to join the carriageway of this quiet street. No provision for left turns into Northinch Street either.

The utilities work on Old Dumbarton Road fail to take any account of the cycle route which crosses from one footway to the other at this point.

Utilities work on the shared-use footway on Old Dumbarton Road (lasting several weeks) and no account taking of cycling.

Road works

All this former farmland is being built on.

A new cycle route under construction on Dyke Road, leading to the BMX Centre at Knightswood Park. This was the last sign of work I saw heading down Dyke Road. Perhaps the footway will get widened. Update at #100297 and #101274.

A new cycle route under construction on Dyke Road, leading to the BMX Centre at Knightswood Park. I imagine this isn't finished.

A new cycle route under construction on Archerhill Road, leading to the BMX Centre at Knightswood Park. The entrance to the new BMX Centre, showing something close to a continuous footway across the entrance roadway.

A new cycle route under construction on Archerhill Road, leading to the BMX Centre at Knightswood Park. I think the cycleway is to be segregated from the road using orcas or similar.

Roadworks affecting the signed link between NCN 7 and Partick station, but not clear if the route is open or closed, no diversion, obstructions on the toucan crossing. A poor show all round!

Polmadie Bridge being rebuilt.

The entrance to Richmond Park now doubles as the construction site entrance. NCN756 is unuseable since there is no way through to the riverside other than the steps next to Rutherglen Bridge (see #95375).

Looking through the compound gate, a new road has been built through what was Richmond Park. I don't suppose that row of trees on the right is staying much longer.

After the smooth new path from the Springburn Expressway footbridge is this mess!

The new zebra and cycle parallel crossing on Govan Road has still not been completed! Note the parking layby is narrower than the vehicle parked in it.

The new zebra and cycle parallel crossing on Govan Road still hasn't been completed. Not even the shared footway surface has been finished!

Slow progress on the parallel cycle/zebra crossing on Govan Road.

The northern footway of Govan Road is being rebuilt for shared use.

The northern footway of Govan Road being rebuilt for shared use, with some low branches coming over the wall from the park.

The plans show a parallel cycle/zebra crossing to go in here.

Bus lane cameras. Will there be cycle lane cameras? A stepped two-way cycle track is being built along part of Govan Road, but the footway has been reduced to a minimal width, resulting in people walking on the cycle track. An extra metr ... [more]

Building work has now started at Partick Bus Station, resulting in railings being put across the point where it was easy to join the roadway in Merkland Street (see also #94587). Work is to last 9 months. http://www.spt.co.uk/2017/09/red ... [more]

The Bunhouse Road cycle track partially blocked due to it being used as a dumping ground for materials during roadworks on Argyle St/Dumbarton Road. The van parked on the footway beyond the cordoned off area was blocking the dropped kerb fo ... [more]

A bus stop bypass being formed on Pollokshaws Road, to be part of the South City Way.

A new bus stop bypass being built in Devon Street.

Path in Wyndford being widened, rerouted and resurfaced, providing more direct route between Kelvin Walkway and Southmuir Place.

Despite the emphasis on 'footpath' and 'pedestrians' on the signs, the only other person I saw on this path was also on a bike. Could do with a dropped kerb here.

The path southwards from Pinkston Road is still open during the Sighthill redevelopment.

A path that is still open during the Sighthill redevelopment, alongside Port Dundas Basin.

Dismantled cycleway in Sighthill redevelopment. This will be replaced by a zig-zag path and stairs straight up the hillside.

A wider view of the toucan crossing shown in #89015 that leads only to the bus stop in the distance (beside the bus). The toucan crossings do not connect anywhere where it is legal to cycle other than the carriageway. The crossings are barr ... [more]

A messy join between old and new footways on Coatbridge Road.

This ramp forms part of NCN75 and has been closed for a few weeks. See #88472.

This has apparently been left like this for several weeks! No warning signs for anyone approaching from the riverside.

Work in progress on a bus stop bypass on Wallacewell Road. But this is the terminus of the 57A route and the buses will need to wait here.

Work in progress on Wallacewell Road.

Preparations have been made on Blythswood St for the contraflow cycle lane, but signage and lining has still to be done. On the near side of the junction dropped kerbs have been installed to allow cycling over the footway, unlike the far si ... [more]

Access to cycle parking being maintained during station building works.

The new path alignment along the south bank of the Clyde, with a straight path under construction in place of previous path with steps. #84282 shows view from other end. Update of the completed path at #86787.

Former steps on south bank path now replaced with ramp, still with surfacing to come. #84383 shows view from other end. Updated view of completed path at #86785.

The stepped cycle lane on George V Bridge is for left turns only. Anyone going straight on should remain on the carriageway, in lane 3 or 4 (see #82973). Plenty of footway clutter to deal with on the corner.

Bridge joints in the new stepped cycle lane on George V Bridge have still to be finished.

Road Closed, and Footway Closed, but just barriers across the cycle track. Hardly difficult to get around, though.

The year-long closure of Queen's Drive for water tunnel works includes a 'Cyclists Please Dismount' sign. On the positive side, through traffic on Victoria Road has been cut substantially!
