A vandalised 20mph reminder sign, with a contradictory 30mph sign on the joining side road. Also, a commercial vehicle parked on the footway, including tactile paving, at the junction.
According to the sign, cyclists are to give way to pedestrians on the steps and narrow, steeply graded path down to the Kelvin Walkway.
Cycles only beyond this point? The one on the nearside of the crossing should not be there, and signs to diagram 955 should have the bicycle symbol with the front wheel to the left. Just after I took the photo, a delivery van driver used … [more]
One thing that is quite disappointing on the Garscube Rd project is the minor junction design, what is going on with these bell mouths, no sharp kerb / ramp up from either direction - really promotes fast driving without taking due care. … [more]
An astonishingly long-lasting piece of Strathclyde Regional Council artwork remaining at the Clyde Tunnel entrance.
A car-sized gap between the water-filled barriers and the sign-post. The barriers are no replacement for the four bollards that used to be here before COP26.
A 'No Through Road' sign on a road that is signed as a cycle route leading somewhere (in this case, to the South City Way).
Another 'Cycles only' sign on University Avenue. The solid line of the mandatory cycle lane extends over part of the junction too.
The sign reads "No vehicular access to Argyle Street" but is covered in graffiti. A sign at Argyle Street suggests this is part of the West City Way council cycle route. A case where 'No Motor Vehicles' should be used, and the bollards … [more]
With the local elections approaching, I'd have thought that there would be a little more urgency to get the cycle routes that have been built already properly up and running, but no, the Argyle Street crossing has been rebagged. (See also … [more]
The COP26 diversion route goes from Castlebank Street to Beith Street along the narrow remote footway, which has been signed as shared use.
"Cyclists Please Dismount" on NCN7 at Scottish Events Campus. Also "Pedestrians this way" without indicating a way. The footway is shared use. Update: The "No Cycling/Cyclists Please Dismount" sign in the photo above has since been … [more]
'Beware of cyclists' in Dawsholm Park. Beware also of the nursery minibus driver who parks just around the bend forcing path users into the muddy puddle.
The old sign in #48310 which had faded out has been replaced, but the new one still does not explain who to phone or what needs permission to cross. The road forms an access to the Forth & Clyde Canal for the general public, so is not … [more]
Just a small partly hidden rectangular sign on the off-side to warn drivers of the cycle track crossing at the exit from the Bunhouse Road Car Park.
The signs here state that a left turn is mandatory, but there is a contraflow cycle lane so cycles can turn right.
Middleton Street is a rare 'Play Street' in Glasgow, although in reality it looks little different from dozens of other residential streets across the city. The western-most block of Middleton Street is not included in the scheme, and some … [more]
Middleton Street is a rare 'Play Street' in Glasgow, although in reality it looks little different from dozens of other residential streets across the city. This sign is facing the wrong way.
Middleton Street is a rare 'Play Street' in Glasgow, although in reality it looks little different from dozens of other residential streets across the city.
Part of Kenmure Street has been converted to cycles only, but incorrectly signed on approach as a 'No Through Road'.
Cyclists following the Glasgow to Paisley cycle route are to dismount and cross the road to the next 'Cyclists Dismount' sign, follow the footway around the corner to the pedestrian crossings at the motorway junction, cross over to the … [more]
The sign should really mention that motorway regulations begin immediately on the road with the motorway numbers all in brackets. This is a sliproad directly onto the eastbound M8 motorway, see #170597.
The footbridge connecting the two parts of Beech Avenue across the M8 motorway, and part of the original Glasgow to Paisley cycle route. The footbridge ramps have a single step at each side of the bridge.

The funding sign for the Dumbreck Road/Mosspark Boulevard junction improvements, that included a staggered toucan crossing and footway upgrade to shared-use. This project linked up the Haggs Road/Dumbreck Road shared footway and NCN7/75 to … [more]
The 'No Through Road' sign, located halfway along the road, rather than at a junction. For pedestrians, access to Millerston can be had via the station and the bridge ahead, but no attempt has been made to make this available for cycling. … [more]
Barfillan Drive is no longer a No Through Road for cycling, but the sign has not been updated. See #168302.
Kinnell Avenue is either a No Through Road, or a cycle route to somewhere. If it was both, there would be an "except cycles" plate under the 'No Through Road' sign. But see #168043.
"Drivers remember - You are in a Restricted parking ZONE - Park only in marked bays" I'm not sure they are getting the message.
Cycle symbols have appeared at the entrance to the pedestrian precinct in Cambridge Street, apparently in contradiction to the 'No Vehicles' signs. Sauchiehall Street is a Core Path (which permits cycling), but Cambridge Street is not. … [more]
Flashing electronic signs has been installed at some junctions on Victoria Road to warn motorists of the presence of cyclists. This is activated by a detector in the cycle track.
A one-way sign used on Argyle Street where there is a contraflow cycle lane. The vehicles parked in the layby ahead will have been driven in the bus lane.
"Cyclists Dismount And Use Footway" - the Sighthill diversion route appears to have been signed along the footway of various roads, none of which are actually signed as being shared use, so why dismount here?
The new one-way system in Hyndland now makes it difficult for cyclists to use the quiet streets to avoid the main roads. No exemptions have been made to permit two-way cycling.
The 'No Entry' signs at the Novar Drive Fire Path now have 'except cyclists' plates (instead of the correct 'except cycles' plates), but the 'No Through Road' signs are unchanged.
The 'No Entry' ahead on Woodside Crescent could have 'except cycles' added to permit cycle access to the Charing Cross footbridge. Plenty of space.
Please dismount for the freshly laid 10 metres of straight tarmac that has recently been laid. What is this pointlessness? @GoBikeGlasgow https://t.co/q8wMpCpnXE
The signs say mandatory right turn, but the cycleway on Sauchiehall Street is two-way, so cycles should be exempted. The signs should also be 'mandatory right turn ahead' to diagram 609, due to their position in relation to the junction.
Advance signage for the Union Street bus gate in St Vincent Street. The West Nile Street contraflow cycle lane also gets a mention. Just like #139580, a cantilever sign post could have been used to avoid footway clutter.
The pop-up contraflow cycle lane in Gordon Street, signed with temporary 'No Entry' signs, one of which has an 'except cyclists' plate below it, in place of the more usual 'except cycles'. The usual 'No Motor Vehicles' signs have been … [more]
Advance signage for the Union Street bus gate, creating footway clutter where single pole cantilevered supports could have been used.
A pop-up contraflow cycle lane has been installed on Argyle Street under Central Station, and other westbound traffic eliminated, in order to provide more space for pedestrians on the opposite footway. Temporary 'No Entry' signs have been … [more]
The pop-up contraflow cycle lane on Argyle Street at Central Station has been provided with temporary 'No Entry' signs on Argyle Street and proper 'No Right Turn except cycles' signs on the traffic signals on Union Street.
The 'No Through Road' sign should have been fitted with an 'except cycles' plate when the Hopehill Road closure was opened up to cycling (in background and at #108226).
'No Through Road' signs that need 'except cycles' plates, since the other end of the road is open to cycle access (see #113020).
'Cyclists Dismount' at the footbridge across the motorway connecting Queenslie Industrial Estate and the Fort shopping centre.
A 'Cyclists Dismount' sign, unusually in mixed upper and lower case, at the entrance to Robroyston station car park, suggesting the footway from #112818 is indeed shared-use. For those not on the footway, a mandatory tour of the car park … [more]
A cover on one of the traffic signals at the Robroyston motorway junction sliproad, even though the toucan crossing is working and uncovered.
A tiny notice explaining how Advance Stop Lines work to drivers. I can't imagine many notice this, or take the time to read it.
A 'No Cycling' sign on the path that now leads to the cycleway adjacent to St Rollox Drive. UPDATE 2021: The path has now been rebuilt, see #167693.
Genuine question @GlasgowCC : wait for what? @GoBikeGlasgow Clyde Place under the rail bridge. Signs in both directions near entrance to land under bridge which has something going on. Should they actually say 'Caution: works access' or … [more]
I was surprised to see this sign at the newly rebuilt Partick Bus Station. The pedestrian crossing around the corner has been removed. Non-bus traffic has to use this lane past Partick Bus Station, but a left turn is required to get to the … [more]
A mention of the cycle route and bike parking on the new totem pole outside Partick Interchange, but no mention of the hire bikes.
The speed limit for cycling in the Clyde Tunnel is displayed as 5 miles per hour. This is less than the former minimum speed restriction for motorists in the tunnel upstairs of 8mph!
A funders' sign for whatever aspect of this road layout they wish to trumpet about. Fastlink maybe or the cycle route? There isn't any sign to say whether or not the footway here is shared use. There was a sign at #99434 and there's one … [more]
If motorway regulations apply up to the sign, shouldn't there be a fence between the motorway and the path?
