Please dismount for the freshly laid 10 metres of straight tarmac that has recently been laid. What is this pointlessness? @GoBikeGlasgow https://t.co/q8wMpCpnXE

The signs say mandatory right turn, but the cycleway on Sauchiehall Street is two-way, so cycles should be exempted. The signs should also be 'mandatory right turn ahead' to diagram 609, due to their position in relation to the junction.

Night time traffic management in Blythswood Square.

Advance signage for the Union Street bus gate in St Vincent Street. The West Nile Street contraflow cycle lane also gets a mention. Just like #139580, a cantilever sign post could have been used to avoid footway clutter.

The counter at the Anderston Bridge appears to have been abandoned.

A pop-up contraflow cycle lane has been installed on Argyle Street under Central Station, and other westbound traffic eliminated, in order to provide more space for pedestrians on the opposite footway. Temporary 'No Entry' signs have been p ... [more]

The pop-up contraflow cycle lane on Argyle Street at Central Station has been provided with temporary 'No Entry' signs on Argyle Street and proper 'No Right Turn except cycles' signs on the traffic signals on Union Street.

The pop-up contraflow cycle lane in Gordon Street, signed with temporary 'No Entry' signs, one of which has an 'except cyclists' plate below it, in place of the more usual 'except cycles'. The usual 'No Motor Vehicles' signs have been cover ... [more]

Advance signage for the Union Street bus gate, creating footway clutter where single pole cantilevered supports could have been used.

The 'No Through Road' sign should have been fitted with an 'except cycles' plate when the Hopehill Road closure was opened up to cycling (in background and at #108226).

'No Through Road' signs that need 'except cycles' plates, since the other end of the road is open to cycle access (see #113020).

An 'Accident Blackspot' sign in Royston Road.

'Cyclists Dismount' at the footbridge across the motorway connecting Queenslie Industrial Estate and the Fort shopping centre.

I'm not sure what this sign means in the context of a residential road with footways.

A 'Cyclists Dismount' sign, unusually in mixed upper and lower case, at the entrance to Robroyston station car park, suggesting the footway from #112818 is indeed shared-use. For those not on the footway, a mandatory tour of the car park ... [more]

A cover on one of the traffic signals at the Robroyston motorway junction sliproad, even though the toucan crossing is working and uncovered.

Accident area!

End of some part-time limit in Randolph Road.

A tiny notice explaining how Advance Stop Lines work to drivers. I can't imagine many notice this, or take the time to read it.

The boundary sign for Renfrewshire on NCN7 alongside the White Cart Water.

The sign in #33288 still standing defiantly!

A 'cycles only' sign halfway along Cardonald Drive. Not complied with or enforced.

A very old 'No Cycling' sign at one end of the path to Mallaig Road (seen in #112293).

A 'No Cycling' sign on the path that now leads to the cycleway adjacent to St Rollox Drive.

Genuine question @GlasgowCC : wait for what? @GoBikeGlasgow Clyde Place under the rail bridge. Signs in both directions near entrance to land under bridge which has something going on. Should they actually say 'Caution: works access' or som ... [more]

Line segregation, apparently.

I was surprised to see this sign at the newly rebuilt Partick Bus Station. The pedestrian crossing around the corner has been removed. Non-bus traffic has to use this lane past Partick Bus Station, but a left turn is required to get to t ... [more]

A mention of the cycle route and bike parking on the new totem pole outside Partick Interchange, but no mention of the hire bikes.

Signs on the farm road adjacent to the newly built M8 motorway at Bargeddie.

A sharp bend to the right, and also a road to the left.

A path into Todds Well, part of the Seven Lochs Wetland Park. http://sevenlochs.org/

The speed limit for cycling in the Clyde Tunnel is displayed as 5 miles per hour. This is less than the former minimum speed restriction for motorists in the tunnel upstairs of 8mph!

A funders' sign for whatever aspect of this road layout they wish to trumpet about. Fastlink maybe or the cycle route? There isn't any sign to say whether or not the footway here is shared use. There was a sign at #99434 and there's one jus ... [more]

If motorway regulations apply up to the sign, shouldn't there be a fence between the motorway and the path?

The contraflow cycle lane on Blythswood Street is still incorrectly signed.

Richmond Park closed, why not visit Glasgow Green? Well, the Polmadie Bridge is down for starters.

A nonsense map (as far as cycle routes are concerned) in Glasgow's Queen Street railway station. What's so good about West Regent Lane for cycling?

"Traffic calmed area" in Govanhill

Do not attempt to cross the Moss Road expressway here.

The old 'Cyclists Dismount' sign has been joined by a shared use sign. Why doesn't the latter say "Be polite please"?

Protected signs on path closed for Sighthill's redevelopment (the original Glasgow-Cumbernauld cycle route), and a reopened path to Baird Street.

Temporary signage for a long-term access restriction during Sighthill redevelopment.

I don't know which closure this sign relates to. The next closure in this direction appears to be at Richmond Park.

The path south from Pinkston Road will be closed until the end of 2018.

Just a small sign away from the main line of sight to warn of the cycle track crossing the access road to the Bunhouse Car Park, and no indication of priority.

Still no sign as to whether this widened footway is shared use or not, now that the one-way carriageway is unusable for cycling in the other direction. However, there is this parking sign where no parking is allowed.

#GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 when you are jealous of the railings the school have and want some to help protect your bike lane. https://t.co/BmLaHleRD1

Again as NCN7 crosses the M8 the simplest answer to potential conflict is to force cyclists to walk. #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/zLBKWT1I27

And too often, when NCN7 threatens to interfere with motor traffic, it's "cyclists dismount". #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/ZAzVGKl6vd

[via email] Finnieston St - more shared space confusion with Toucans but no signage #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 https://t.co/Xn9Ieei9Ht

#GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 imagine if the car signposts for the Clyde tunnel were as small.... ❌ https://t.co/CuESJBqbnI

#GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 imagine if cars had to dismount and press the intercom to use the cylde tunnel ? https://t.co/EK3pcLozdo

Is this still a trial? Are there any results? #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 Aikenhead Road https://t.co/5GMW7j2IwR

@sturmeyarcher3 @GoBikeGlasgow Apparently there is a diversion on a map... somewhere... https://t.co/XxexndT9Zu

What starts off like a positive permission to cycle ends up more like an ultimatum!

The Silverburn to Pollokshaws & Newlands cycle route goes straight down this road, but it is signed as a No Through Road.

These steps may not look like a cycle route, but the route through Yorkhill Park is listed on the council's GIS system as a cycle route!

Contradicting signs on Nairn Street. Is this street one-way, or is contraflow cycling permitted?

Despite the footway of the A89 not allowing cycling, and despite this crossing leading to nothing but a bus stop that does not have any bus services carrying bikes, a toucan crossing has been installed across Coatbridge Road. Does this come ... [more]

"No Entry except buses and taxis" at the former Water Bus terminal, now part of NCN75.

Some Sighthill diversion signs that are still in place, and some illegal parking outside the Police Station.

Diversion signs for drivers, one of which is fixed to a permanent pole.

I don't think anyone has been fined for driving through this bus gate yet!

New community notice board at Linthouse.

Map in Central Station, with cycle routes, but without indications of one-way streets. Gordon St/Hope St/Argyle St/Robertson St to the riverside isn't possible! Also doesn't have cycle routes like Waterloo St or Howard St, but does have ... [more]

Pedestrian crossings prohibited!

A Cyclists Dismount sign that really shouldn't be needed for anyone who has successfully cycled down the previous flight of steps (see #86773).

A random "Cyclists Dismount" sign on car park access road, approaching NCN 7 & 75 on Pacific Drive.

Banned right turn, with no exemption for cycling.

It must be the Glasgow weather that deters so many from cycling!

"Look both ways" has been added to the carriageway at the Berkeley St/Claremont St junction, in what looks like a lettering size intended for pedestrians.

A left turn ban sign that does not exempt cycles, even though cycles are not banned from the road around the corner.

A 'Cyclists Dismount and use footway' sign at rail bridge roadworks, where the footway is now shared use. Scaffolding was partly blocking the footway, making it single file but no real need to dismount. No real need for that shared use s ... [more]

A sign attempts to divert pedestrians and cyclists onto the path nearest the riverside, even though the two paths join up a short distance further on. A 'Diversion Ends' sign would be more appropriate here.

Do I need to get authorisation to cycle past here, or do I have it already?

The latest attempt to prevent tall vehicles crashing into this railway bridge is a width restriction. There was meant to be a cycle bypass to this, and although what the council proposed was simply cycling on the nearside footway, it doesn' ... [more]

The sign announcing the Aikenhead Road "Cycle Lane Separator Trail". I assume they mean trial. The bus stop has not been provided with a bypass.

@GlasgowCC response to poorly maintained #clydetunnel surface and accidents: put up 5mph speed limit!! http://t.co/pgcQoNxOxD

@magnatom @Byron_Silver The plans show that at STV the lane is bus & cycle but signage allows bus only. http://t.co/9tu6Y6ms2Y [Since corrected, see #87101]

After objections, the Fastlink busway over the Clyde Arc bridge (but not the other sections) will permit buses and cycles. The signage has not been altered to reflect this.

Buchanan Street pedestrian precinct is a Core Path, and according to various people at the council, cycling is allowed in both directions because of its Core Path status, but still the signs say 'No Vehicles'.

'No Through Road except cycles' except no provision for cycles is made at the road closure (see #62875).

'No Through Road except cycles' except no provision for cycles is made at the road closure (see #62876).

@GoBikeGlasgow Tiny sliver of good news: new warning signs and road paint on #connect2. Took 6 mths http://t.co/rzk0kMa0c4

"Beware Cyclists No Overtaking" sign on approach to roundabout on Acre Road.

This bridge has been provided with a height restriction sign, unlike any of the others.

A temporary sign that has not been placed on the cycleway.

End of path approaching Balmore Road on Safer Route To School, with Cyclists Dismount sign

A glass-strewn path in Cowlairs Park, and all the council is worried about is lorries!

Various signs at the end of the footbridge across Garscube Road

"Have a safe journey" sign obstructing shared-use footway on Maryhill Road (see also #33353)

"Private Access - Drivers of Large or Slow Vehicles must phone and get permission to cross" Cross what? Phone whom? Number? Useful link to Forth & Clyde Canal from near Dawsholm Park and Vet School.

Non-standard sign warning of speed bumps/humps

Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Track for the Commonwealth Games 2014, currently under construction

"This school supports kids cycling to school"

Artwork in underpass beneath road, on path between NCN 7 and Riverside Museum, next to River Kelvin

No Cycling sign at one end of path from Fountainwell Road to Keppochhill Road. There isn't one at other end or anywhere else on path. Useful cross-city link, and could do with dropped kerb too.

Clyde Tunnel signage at end of Balshagray Crescent

Sign at entrance to Balshagray Crescent, telling cyclists and pedestrians if southbound Clyde Tunnel is open or not. If not, sign directs users to the northbound tunnel.
