Someone ordered up this bollard, and had it installed, but its meaning is not clear. Cycle up the steps?
According to the sign, cyclists are to give way to pedestrians on the steps and narrow, steeply graded path down to the Kelvin Walkway.
One thing that is quite disappointing on the Garscube Rd project is the minor junction design, what is going on with these bell mouths, no sharp kerb / ramp up from either direction - really promotes fast driving without taking due care. … [more]
An astonishingly long-lasting piece of Strathclyde Regional Council artwork remaining at the Clyde Tunnel entrance.
'Beware of cyclists' in Dawsholm Park. Beware also of the nursery minibus driver who parks just around the bend forcing path users into the muddy puddle.
The old sign in #48310 which had faded out has been replaced, but the new one still does not explain who to phone or what needs permission to cross. The road forms an access to the Forth & Clyde Canal for the general public, so is not … [more]
Middleton Street is a rare 'Play Street' in Glasgow, although in reality it looks little different from dozens of other residential streets across the city. The western-most block of Middleton Street is not included in the scheme, and some … [more]
Middleton Street is a rare 'Play Street' in Glasgow, although in reality it looks little different from dozens of other residential streets across the city.
The funding sign for the Dumbreck Road/Mosspark Boulevard junction improvements, that included a staggered toucan crossing and footway upgrade to shared-use. This project linked up the Haggs Road/Dumbreck Road shared footway and NCN7/75 to … [more]
The 'No Through Road' sign, located halfway along the road, rather than at a junction. For pedestrians, access to Millerston can be had via the station and the bridge ahead, but no attempt has been made to make this available for cycling. … [more]
Cycle symbols have appeared at the entrance to the pedestrian precinct in Cambridge Street, apparently in contradiction to the 'No Vehicles' signs. Sauchiehall Street is a Core Path (which permits cycling), but Cambridge Street is not. … [more]
Flashing electronic signs has been installed at some junctions on Victoria Road to warn motorists of the presence of cyclists. This is activated by a detector in the cycle track.
The 'No Entry' signs at the Novar Drive Fire Path now have 'except cyclists' plates (instead of the correct 'except cycles' plates), but the 'No Through Road' signs are unchanged.
Advance signage for the Union Street bus gate, creating footway clutter where single pole cantilevered supports could have been used.
The pop-up contraflow cycle lane on Argyle Street at Central Station has been provided with temporary 'No Entry' signs on Argyle Street and proper 'No Right Turn except cycles' signs on the traffic signals on Union Street.
A tiny notice explaining how Advance Stop Lines work to drivers. I can't imagine many notice this, or take the time to read it.
A 'No Cycling' sign on the path that now leads to the cycleway adjacent to St Rollox Drive. UPDATE 2021: The path has now been rebuilt, see #167693.
A mention of the cycle route and bike parking on the new totem pole outside Partick Interchange, but no mention of the hire bikes.
The speed limit for cycling in the Clyde Tunnel is displayed as 5 miles per hour. This is less than the former minimum speed restriction for motorists in the tunnel upstairs of 8mph!
A funders' sign for whatever aspect of this road layout they wish to trumpet about. Fastlink maybe or the cycle route? There isn't any sign to say whether or not the footway here is shared use. There was a sign at #99434 and there's one … [more]
The old 'Cyclists Dismount' sign has been joined by a shared use sign. Why doesn't the latter say "Be polite please"?
#GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 imagine if the car signposts for the Clyde tunnel were as small.... ❌ https://t.co/CuESJBqbnI
#GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 imagine if cars had to dismount and press the intercom to use the cylde tunnel ? https://t.co/EK3pcLozdo
Is this still a trial? Are there any results? #GlasgowCycleInfraDay17 Aikenhead Road https://t.co/5GMW7j2IwR
"Look both ways" has been added to the carriageway at the Berkeley St/Claremont St junction, in what looks like a lettering size intended for pedestrians.
The sign announcing the Aikenhead Road "Cycle Lane Separator Trail". I assume they mean trial. The bus stop has not been provided with a bypass.
The latest attempt to prevent tall vehicles crashing into this railway bridge is a width restriction. There was meant to be a cycle bypass to this, and although what the council proposed was simply cycling on the nearside footway, it … [more]
@magnatom @Byron_Silver The plans show that at STV the lane is bus & cycle but signage allows bus only. http://t.co/9tu6Y6ms2Y [Since corrected, see #87101]
'No Through Road except cycles' except no provision for cycles is made at the road closure (see #62876). UPDATE 2021: Now sorted, see #166541.

"Private Access - Drivers of Large or Slow Vehicles must phone and get permission to cross" Cross what? Phone whom? Number? Useful link to Forth & Clyde Canal from near Dawsholm Park and Vet School.
You are here Tourist information sign under the M8 in Glasgow. A photo essay on Glasgow here. http://waronthemotorist.wordpress.com/2011/01/15/crap-cycling-and-walking-in-car-sick-glasgow/ Outside Anderston station
No Cycling sign at one end of path from Fountainwell Road to Keppochhill Road. There isn't one at other end or anywhere else on path. Useful cross-city link, and could do with dropped kerb too. UPDATE 2021: The path has now been rebuilt, … [more]
Old Cyclists Dismount sign at entrance to underpass beneath Clydeside Expressway (other end at #36113)
This Cyclists Dismount sign is justified since there are steps on the riverside path here. Cyclists are better going via the Gorbals Sports Centre car park (but see #31365). UPDATE 2016: A new step-free path has been created at street … [more]
